Elder
Care Referral Services, Inc. dba: About
Elder Care (AEC) was established in 1991 and
was the first full service consulting firm in
the Sacramento area to help families evaluate
senior care options and specialize in assisted
care facility placements for seniors at no charge
to the senior or their family. AEC care consultants
provide information and personal guidance to
caregivers and families and refer them to assisted
care facilities where reliable care and assistance
for a loved one is provided.
AEC is staffed with professionals experienced with healthcare medical consulting, management and marketing, and board and care home ownership and management.

Jerry
Schreck has a B.S. degree in marketing
from Northern Illinois University and is
president of Elder Care Referral Services,
Inc.
dba: About Elder Care.
He founded
AEC 21 years ago after being a
caregiver for his ailing father for over
four years. He was instrumental in
organization of the Sacramento chapter of
the Alzheimer’s Association,
has authored numerous articles on elder
care and is a frequent public speaker on
elder care issues.

Linda
Himan is a senior care consultant
and has over twenty years
experience working with seniors. She was
administrator of a board and
care home for eight years and has worked
for many years evaluating seniors for
assisted care placements.
Linda worked fifteen years managing a
group of small care facilities. Linda
organized and managed an in-home care
agency in Hawaii for three years. She
supervised eighty caregivers. Linda was
instrumental in getting a law passed to
have Medi-Cal pay for care options for
low-income seniors. |
